REIKI is pronounced "Ray-Key".  "REI" means Universal and refers to the spiritual dimension and the soul.  "KI" means Life Force Energy which flows through all that is alive.

REIKI  is the science of universal energy, existing and prevailing everywhere.  It is a kind of energy different from others, such as fossil fuel or man made energy.  The qualities of this Life Force Energy are absolutely harmless, beneficial to everything that is alive, very safe, nuturing, and expansive.

REIKI is a complete system that will support and enhance a healthy  body and mind and this is what I share.

To properly understand LIFE FORCE ENERGY, or REIKI, is to know it exists today at two diverse levels.  One of these levels is popularly called the USUI-method, named after a Japanese Buddhist Monk who brought it back to Japan after a period of searching and later studying in Tibet under a Lama and Physician named Tschen-Li.

The other is called the TSCHEN-LI LIFE FORCE ENERGY METHOD, as he later taught it to Dr. Ralph White.  It is the complete Life Force Energy, also called Reiki, as it exists within the Master's Meditation and embodied within the healing part of that method.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.  Reiki practitioners channel energy in a particular pattern to heal and harmonize. Unlike other healing therapies based on the premise of a human energy field, Reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to receive, learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from the Universal Source (God), many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

Reiki energy may have several basic effects: it may bring about deep relaxation, destroy energy blockages, detoxify the system, provide new vitality in the form of healing universal life energy, and increase the vibrational frequency of the body.

Although there are a few positions in which a practitioner is in contact with the you (such as cradling the head), most Reiki treatments can be done without touching if you feel more comfortable.  This is the pure and simple Tschen-Li Reiki Method and it is what I share and teach.  When I began my studies with this method in 2002, I promised to keep it pure and to share and teach with anyone that sincerely wants to learn.  If this method resonates with you and your path, please feel free to contact me for more information.

A little bit about me:

I have worked within the health care industry for over 13 years starting out as a Home Health Aide and after moving to North Carolina, as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  Helping and taking care of others has always been a part of my life, being able to do this brings such joy into my life each day.  I also worked with a local ENT Physican for almost 5 years and learned a great deal, under his guidance, about Holisitic therapies.  I am married to Tom a wonderful support and my best friend.  We have a 5 year old that is the light of our life and a constant guide for both of us on this path of life.

I look forward to hearing from you.....Blessings and Namaste!
