My name is Donna and I began my journey with Reiki in 2002 by becoming certified in the First and Second Degree Usui system. Through my original teacher, I became acquainted with Dr. Ralph White and his wife in Asheville, NC where I began a wonderful friendship. While working with the White’s I also received the Tschen-Li-Usui Tibetan lineage Third Degree and my Master Teacher degree. Since then I have shared Reiki with clients and friends and consider it a blessing that you have found me so I can share with you as well.

Let’s talk about what Reiki is

REIKI is pronounced “Ray-Key”.  “REI” means Universal and refers to the spiritual dimension and the soul.  “KI” means Life Force Energy which flows through all that is alive.

REIKI  is the science of universal energy, existing and prevailing everywhere.  It is a kind of energy different from others, such as fossil fuel or man made energy.  The qualities of this Life Force Energy are absolutely harmless, beneficial to everything that is alive, very safe, nuturing, and expansive.

REIKI is a complete system that will support and enhance a healthy body and mind and this is what I share.

To properly understand LIFE FORCE ENERGY, or REIKI, is to know it exists today at two diverse levels.  One of these levels is popularly called the USUI-method, named after a Japanese Buddhist Monk who brought it back to Japan after a period of searching and later studying in Tibet under a Lama and Physician named Tschen-Li.

The other is called the TSCHEN-LI LIFE FORCE ENERGY METHOD, as he later taught it to Dr. Ralph White.  It is the complete Life Force Energy, also called Reiki, as it exists within the Master’s Meditation and embodied within the healing part of that method.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is sometimes administered by “laying on hands” but can also be done remotely and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

A session can feel like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind, and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and wellbeing.  Reiki practitioners channel energy in a particular pattern to heal and harmonize. Unlike other healing therapies based on the premise of a human energy field, Reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to receive, learn and use Reiki. In fact, Reiki is not dependent on belief at all and will work whether you believe in it or not. Because Reiki comes from the Universal Source (God), many people find that using Reiki puts them more in touch with the experience of their religion rather than having only an intellectual concept of it.

Reiki energy may have several basic effects: it may bring about deep relaxation, destroy energy blockages, detoxify the system, provide new vitality in the form of healing universal life energy, and increase the vibrational frequency of the body.
